Moving concierge: the red tape is on us

The hard part of a move is almost never carrying the sofa. It is the authorisation the building asks for, the lift that has to be booked, the time window the building allows and the electricity nobody remembered to transfer. An MC²X consultant takes that list on and follows every step closely, so moving day is just moving day.

Free and with no obligation · we serve the whole of Greater São Paulo

What the concierge takes off your plate

Four fronts that usually eat more time than the move itself:

Building and lift

We deal with the management at both origin and destination, book the service lift in the right slot and submit the documentation reception requires.

Electricity, gas, water and internet

We build the transfer and activation schedule with the notice each provider requires, and remind you on the right day for each request.

Booking installations

Internet, air conditioning, TV, fitted furniture assembly. We sequence them so there are never two technicians at the same time or a wasted wait.

Inspections and change of address

We attend the move-in and move-out inspections with the letting agent, and organise the list of where your address needs updating.

What almost every building in São Paulo requires

This is the list that usually catches people out the day before. If you are doing it yourself, start here:

Advance notice to the building management, sometimes days ahead
Service lift booked for a specific time slot
Permitted time window, which rarely includes weekends
Details of the moving company and crew for clearance at reception
Proof of insurance or liability for damage to communal areas
Protection of floors, walls and the lift during the operation
Specific authorisation when there is hoisting up the façade
Payment of fees or a deposit, in some buildings

If any one of these is not sorted, reception can turn the truck away. And the crew is paid for the day, whether they are working or standing on the pavement.

How it works

1

We map the rules of both addresses

Still at the survey stage, we contact the management at origin and destination to learn exactly what each building requires.

2

You get a plan with dates

A clear timeline: what has to be done, by whom and by when. Without you having to work out the order of things on your own.

3

We do our part and remind you of yours

We handle the paperwork, the booking and the scheduling. For whatever only you can sign, we give you notice in advance and on the right day.

4

Confirmation the day before

One day ahead, we reconfirm the lift, the time slot and clearance at reception in both buildings. It is the check that prevents 90% of surprises.

What is on us and what only you can do

Transparency so you do not count on something we cannot take on:

MC²X takes on

  • Contact and negotiation with the building management
  • Booking the lift and the time window
  • Documentation for the moving company and crew
  • The timeline for everything, with deadlines and reminders
  • Booking technicians and installers
  • Reconfirming everything the day before

Only the account holder can

  • Transfer or activate electricity, water, gas and internet accounts
  • Sign contracts and terms with the letting agent
  • Update the address with banks and public bodies
  • Authorise payments and building fees

Utility providers and public bodies require the details and confirmation of whoever signs the bill. What we remove is the risk of you remembering too late: we tell you exactly when each request has to be made.

Who runs the concierge: an MC²X consultant, from start to finish

The concierge is not a system, a form or a messaging bot. It is the direct support of a consultant on our team, who advises you throughout your move: they understand your case, deal with the building managers, build the schedule and check, step by step, that everything is going as agreed.

100% human contact. You always deal with the same person, who already knows your building, your deadline and what has already been sorted, instead of starting the explanation over at every contact.

On an office move, the concierge is worth even more

Commercial buildings have stricter rules than residential ones: out-of-hours windows, prior registration of the entire crew, insurance required by the building manager, loading dock use and a goods lift with a booked slot. Coordinating that in advance is what separates a corporate move that happens overnight on a Sunday, with the office working on Monday, from one that runs late and stops the company for days.

Frequently asked questions

What does a moving concierge do?
The concierge takes care of the red tape around the move. In practice: we deal with the building management at both origin and destination, book the service lift, gather and submit the required documentation, confirm the permitted time windows and organise the schedule for transferring electricity, gas, water and internet, so nothing is switched off on the day you arrive.
Who handles this? Is it automated?
It is a consultant on the MC²X team, and the contact is 100% human. They advise you on your move from start to finish: they deal with the management of both buildings, build the schedule, follow every step and reconfirm everything the day before. You always speak to the same person, who already knows your building and your deadline. It is not a form, a chatbot or a call centre where you start the explanation over on every call.
Why is the building authorisation so important?
Because without it the move simply does not get in. Most buildings in São Paulo require advance notice, a service lift booked for a specific slot and a list of documents from the moving company. If anything is missing at reception, the truck sits on the street and you still pay the crew for the day.
Do you transfer the electricity and internet accounts in my name?
We build the schedule, tell you exactly how far in advance each request has to be made and remind you at the right moment. The transfers and activations themselves depend on the account holder, because utility providers require the details and confirmation of whoever signs the bill. What we remove is the risk of you remembering too late.
Does the concierge work for office moves?
It does, and that is usually where it pays off most. Commercial buildings have stricter rules: out-of-hours time windows, prior registration of the whole crew, insurance required by the building manager and loading dock use. Coordinating that in advance is what stops a corporate move running late and the office opening closed on Monday.
Is the concierge charged separately?
Yes, it is an optional service that appears itemised in the proposal, alongside the move. The price depends on how many addresses are involved and how complex the requirements are. The basic coordination with the building to make moving day possible is already part of any MC²X move, at no cost.
