Furniture donation and disposal in São Paulo

Every move has that pile of things that are not coming along: the sofa that will not fit the new living room, the clothes nobody has worn in years, the old fridge. Destino Certo is the MC²X service that deals with that pile for you, giving each thing the right route. You do not have to find a charity, hire a skip or carry anything.

Included in any MC²X moving plan · we serve the whole of Greater São Paulo

Three possible destinations, none of them the pavement

Each item gets the route that makes sense for the condition it is in:

Donation

Whatever is still usable goes to charities and social projects that accept that type of item. If you already have a charity you prefer, we take it there.

Recycling

Cardboard, bubble wrap, metal, wood and electronics that are past use go to recycling, not to landfill.

Responsible disposal

What cannot be donated or recycled goes to the proper disposal point, and not to the pavement or an empty plot.

How it works

1

You sort it, or we help you sort it

At the survey we already flag what is probably not coming. If you book the personal organizer, that sorting happens naturally during the organising.

2

We go through it item by item with you

Nothing leaves the house without you knowing. We show you the list beforehand, and the final call on each piece is always yours.

3

It leaves on the same day as the move

Collection happens as part of the operation, in the same truck and on the same trip. That is why it does not cost you anything extra.

4

Each thing goes to its destination

Donation, recycling or proper disposal, depending on the condition of the item. You get to know where it went.

What is covered and what is not

Transparency before you count on the service: there are things we cannot take, and it is better you know now.

We take under Destino Certo

  • Furniture in general: sofa, wardrobe, table, bed, shelving
  • Appliances and electronics
  • Clothes, shoes and bed linen
  • Crockery, pans, utensils and decor
  • Books, toys and school material
  • Cardboard and bubble wrap from the move itself

Mattresses depend on condition: in good shape they can be donated, otherwise they go to proper disposal.

We do not take

  • Construction debris and building waste
  • Paint, solvent and chemical products
  • Flammable or corrosive material
  • Medical waste or medication
  • Organic waste and perishable food

These materials require specific licensed transport and disposal. If you have any of them, we point you to the right skip or collection point.

Why this matters more than it seems

Leaving the old sofa on the pavement looks like the easy way out in the middle of the rush, but it is the one that causes the most trouble. In São Paulo, dumping furniture and bulky items on the public street is an offence subject to a fine, and the item usually sits there for days until somebody deals with it. The alternative of hiring a skip costs money and another day of your time, in a week when you have neither. And in the middle of all that, perfectly good things end up in the bin simply because there was no time to find who needed them. Destino Certo solves all three problems at once, without you doing anything beyond saying what is not coming.

Frequently asked questions

Does Destino Certo cost anything?
No. Destino Certo is free for anyone moving with MC²X, on any plan. The collection happens on the same day as the move, together with the rest of the operation, so it generates no extra trip and no extra charge.
What do you take under Destino Certo?
Furniture, appliances, electronics, clothes, shoes, bed linen, crockery, books, toys and the packing material from the move itself. The rule is simple: if it is still usable, we look for a donation. If it is not, we route it to recycling or proper disposal.
Where do the donated items go?
We route them to charities and social projects that accept that particular type of item, because not every organisation can take large furniture or appliances. If you already have a charity you prefer, we take it there. It is your donation, so you choose the destination.
Do you take construction debris?
No. Construction debris, building waste, paint, solvent, chemical products and flammable material are not covered by Destino Certo, because they require specific licensed transport and disposal. In those cases, we point you to the right skip or collection point.
Why can I not simply leave the old furniture on the pavement?
Beyond becoming the neighbourhood's problem, dumping furniture and bulky items on the public street is an offence subject to a fine in São Paulo. Sofas, mattresses and fridges need proper routing, whether donation, a recycling point or a specific collection. Destino Certo exists precisely so you do not have to sort this out in the middle of a move.
